The most important thing one can do to help himself is being knowledgeable about his condition. There are several books, online sites, and workshops that talk about these phobias and how to fight them. Being strong in confronting your own fears, even through imagination, can also be the first step in making the change.
Phobias and fears can really be disgusting as it has its way of preventing us from enjoying our day-to-day life. The good thing is there are several ways on how we can overcome this fears and move on with our normal lives.
